The Fellowship's work in the High Plains region is primsdmap.jpgarily among Native Americans on reservations.   Coordinated by High Plains facilitators, Ray and Kathleen Kesner, the goal is to help the Lakota and Dakota people realize their own dreams for their communities.  Through various and growing partnerships, the Fellowship is walking alongside these local peoples.  For more information on the High Plains ministry, click here.

TFH High Plains serves alongside local churches and other anti-poverty groups.  The Lakota Training & Leadership Institute is an example on the Pine Ridge reservation.  Leon Matthews, pastor of the nearby Gospel Fellowship Church, provides leadership, along with Ata Jack.  They are also strongly supported by First Baptist Church, Sioux Falls, S.D.

An example on the Cheyenne River reservation is Project Warm Embrace, a non-profit organization led by Chris and Dana Thompson.  Started after a comfort item distribution effort in Oct. 2003, the organization now assists in continuing and developing partnerships and relationships with Indians in South Dakota and Missouri. For more information, visit the Warm Embrace Web site.
